About Us
Hannah and Ellie met at The Godolphin & Latymer School in 1994, and have been friends ever since. They shared a love of music, classic literature and films, spending hours listening to music and imagining what stories it was telling.
Ellie went on to become a director in theatre, and Hannah a musician, bringing stories from all of history to life through their different arts.
As mothers and teachers, they understand first-hand how stressful the educational system can be for young people, and Kensal Workshops was born from their drive to change this. They have both taught for many years, bringing their combined experience across the arts and education in general to create truly unique, immersive days which remind everyone what a joy it is to learn!

We were extremely lucky to have found these courses. Thanks to Hannah’s lessons and great advice our daughter swam through the preparation and the exam itself with ease and achieved a distinction!
